StanChart wins best retail bank award
Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh has recently won the 'Best Retail Bank in Bangladesh Award' for the year 2011. The bank received the award at The International Excellence in Retail Financial Services 2012 Awards ceremony, held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, says a press release.
The Asian Banker administered awards programme which was refereed by prominent global bankers, consultants and academics. It has offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Shanghai as well as representatives in London, New York and San Francisco.
Janata Ins gets new chair, vice-chair
Eminent women industrial entrepreneur of the country Begum Sultana Hashem has been elected as the chairman of Janata Insurance Company Ltd, says a press release. The company in its recent board meeting also elected Belal Ahmed as the vice-chairman of the company.
Sultana Hashem is the chairman of Partex Star Group. She is a social worker and related with several socio cultural organization.
Belal Ahmed is the pioneer establishment of plastic base industry in the country.
