Nishita renders song for int’l album

‘Close up 1’ famed singer Nishita Barua has recently contributed her voice for an international album titled “Bhalobashar Brishti,” which is going to be released in Bangladesh, India and Argentina at a time on December 12 of this year.
She will perform the song “Srabon-o megher dine tomai pore mone, rim jhim jhim boroshai kachhe pete e mon chai,” which was written and composed by noted lyricist and composer Rajon Saha. The recording of this song was completed recently under the music direction of Sumon Kalyan.
Not only this song, all the songs of this album have been written and composed by Rajon Saha. He is, however, also the entrepreneur of this album.
While talking about the song, Nishita said, “I am very much excited about my performance in this album. I am really lucky that I have got chance to perform in such an international album. I hope, the listeners will surely like my song.”
Besides Nishita, some prominent singers from Bangladesh and Kolkata will perform in this album. The other singers are Nirjhor,  Palash, Rafat, Pulok, Rajib and Mitul Dutta from Kolkata.
However, Nishita’s debut solo album “Aamai Niye Cholo” was released in 2007 under the banner of Gangchil. Later, she play-backed in several popular movies including “Biyer Bajna”, “Mone Boro Jwala”, “Paira” and “Chhayachhobi”. She is now hosting a musical show titled “Aamar Joto Gaan,” which is being aired on every Friday night on Channel 24. Nishita, however, is also working as a Radio Jockey at Radio Today’s Chittagong station.
