Subir Nandi honoured

Citi pays tribute to him

To honour the musical and cultural legends of the country, Citibank, NA, Bangladesh organised its annual “Gaan-e Gaan-e Gunijon Shongbordhona” programme in the city.
This year, Citi honoured Subir Nandi for his dedication, talent and outstanding services in preserving the cultural heritage of the country and for the music industry as a whole.
Rashed Maqsood, Managing Director and Citi Country Officer for Bangladesh, along with Mahbub Jamil, Chairman of Singer Bangladesh and former special assistant to the Chief Advisor of the Caretaker Government presented the legendary artiste with a crest and portrait on behalf of Citi.
Rokia Afzal Rahman, former advisor to the Caretaker Government and Ferdousi Rahman, legendary singer of Bangla music presented Subir Nandi with a flower bouquet at the end of the programme.
Subir Nandi graced the stage with veteran artiste Kanak Chapa, regaling the audience of regulators, ambassadors, artistes and Citi clients with a performance of timeless modern songs. 
Since the first “Gaan-e Gaan-e Gunijon Shongbordhona” in 2004, Citi has honoured legendary artistes Nilufar Yasmin, Farida Parveen, Feroza Begum, Sanjida Khatun, Shorab Hossain, Ferdousi Rahman, Sabina Yasmin and Rezwana Chowdhury Bonya.
