Solaiman elected SJIBSL chairman 

Mohammed Solaiman has been unanimously elected as the chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd (SJIBSL) at its 15th board meeting held in the city recently. The meeting also elected Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Halim as the vice-chairmen of the company, says a press release.

Westin to hold wedding expo

An extravagant three-day fair namely 'Gitanjali Wedding Festival- 2012' will take place at the South Park of Westin Dhaka Hotel on November 8 this year, says a press release.
The Westin Dhaka in association with Sash Ltd, sole distributor of Gitanjali Jewelers in Bangladesh and Momentum Event Management Ltd, event wing of Unitrend Ltd will organize the programme.
A tripartite agreement to this effect was signed at the Westin Dhaka's Silver Room in the city on Tuesday among the companies.
Azeem Shah, general manager of The Westin Dhaka, Sohana Rouf Chowdhury, owner and managing director of Sash Ltd and Faiyaz Ahmed, director and head of Momentum Ltd signed the dealon behalf of their respective businesses.
