JCD committee after Eid

The much awaited new committee of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student front of opposition BNP, will be formed after the Eid comprising dedicated, honest, laborious and loyal students to the party, JCD sources said.
Many JCD aspirants are lobbying with the BNP high-ups to get suitable posts. Some leaders have started to come to University campus to make their claims strong and effective.
BNP student affairs secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Annie MP, who supervises the JCD activities, told The New Nation that a new committee of the student organisation might be announced soon as the tenure of the present committee has already expired.
 "Begum Zia will announce the new committee after coming back to the Saudi Arabia. Dedicated and students having fresh images will be next leaders of the organisation. No lobbying will be helpful for getting top posts but Begum Zia will make the choice," he added. Meanwhile, the party aspirants said that they have been working for many years. They expect that the BNP chairperson and leader of the opposition Begum Khaleda Zia will decide who will be the next leader. They also pledged that they would obey the decision of Begum Zia without question.
Earlier, BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia held a meeting with senior JCD leaders and others students leaders of Dhaka University, Jagannath University, Dhaka city south and north units at her Gulshan office recently. Some former leaders of JCD, including Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Annie, were present at the meeting.
