President, Hasina, Khaleda shocked at Humayun's death

President Zillur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia expressed deep shock at the death of celebrated writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed.
In a condolence message they said the country has lost a noted writer at the death of Humayun Ahmed and the countrymen would remember him forever for his immense contribution to the nation.
They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Writer Humayun Ahmed, who was battling against cancer at Bellevue Hospital in New York, died at 11:30pm on Thursday (Bangladesh time) at the age of 64.
