An Adventure Club started its journey at Oxford International School (OIS), one of the renowned English medium schools in the capital, yesterday holding the hands of three Everest conquerors in Bangladesh.

Country's first Everest winner Musa Ibrahim, two-time Everest conquerors MA Mohit and first female Everest winner Nishat Mazumdar inaugurated the club at a colourful function.

With Head of School Principal GM Nizamuddin in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by President of the school Md Shakhawat Hossain, Head of Academic Afroz Al Mamun and Convenor of Adventure Club Md Osman Gani Azam Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Musa Ibrahim narrated his experience in conquering the Everest and said the youths will have to come forward with a positive mindset for building the country.

"Any adventure with the nation's red-green flag could be an inspiration for it," he said.

Welcoming the initiative for setting up the Adventure Club at the school, MA Mohit called upon the students to prepare themselves for adventure, through which they would be enriched with exercise of taking risk.

Nishat Mazumdar said victory is inevitable if anybody moves forward with a mindset of taking risk, adding student life is the best time for adventure.

G M Nizam Uddin stated that the OIS students are always enthusiastic about adventure and they always express great interest in exploring the unknown of the world apart from excelling in academics.

He hoped that the newly-formed Adventure Club will encourage further adventure attempts for OIS students and help them grow strong personalities to face all odds.
