Labour and Employment Minister Engineer Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain piloted the bill in the Jatiya Sangsad.
The bill proposed inclusion of a provision to empower the government in determining terms and conditions of services of the workers in line with the recommendations of the National Wage and Productivity Commission- 2010.
Whatever exists in any other laws, rules, agreements and service rules, the government would be able to determine wages, allowances and benefits of the workers of goods producing state owned industries through gazette notifications in line with the recommendations of the National Wage and Productivity Commission- 2010, the bill said.
