Natore District and Session Judge Md Zahidul Islam convicted seven persons and sentenced them each to suffer 66years and 6 months imprisonment for killing Helal and Halim recently.
The court also fined them each seven thousand taka in default to suffer 6 months imprisonment more on June 7.
Convicted persons are : Shahidul Islam, Abdul Karim, Moksed Ali, Mokhles, Bakul, Muzaffor and Khoka of the village Char Lankmikul under Natore upazila. The victims were: Helal and Halim , sons of Abdul Hamid Mollah of the same village.
The prosecution story in brief is that the convicted persons injured Helal and Halim were seriously injured in a clash for taking tubewell water on October 9 .
Then the injured Helal and Halim were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a critical condition and they died there under treatment. Abdul Hamid Mollah father of Helal and Halim filed a case in this connection.
After examining the witnesses and records the District and Session Judge Md Zahidul Islam convicted seven persons and sentenced them each to suffer 66 years and 6 months imprisonment recently.
