EU SOWCL celebrates Foundation Day

Eastern University Social Welfare Club (EU SOWCL) celebrated its 7th founding anniversary on June 7 at the Business Faculty Seminar Room. Acting Dean of Business Faculty and Chairman, BBA department of the university Professor Dr. Ashraf Hossain inaugurated the event by cutting a cake.
Oli Ahad Thakur, the chief Coordinator of EU SOWCL, Khursia Jahan, another Coordinator
of EU SOWCL were present on the occasion while Md. Khorshed Alam Novel, President of EU SOWCL, Khandokar Lutfor Rahman, Vice President, Mamoon Rashid, General Secretary, Ibrahim Nasim, Organizing Secretary and all the members of the executive committee and general members took part in the programme.
All members and coordinator were so excited for having already passed more than six years with the society. Coordinators and senior members shared their experiences at the get together with others including the freshers.
After that cake was distributed among everyone. EU SOWCL is the most prominent club within the EU cultural orbit. Formed on June 7, 2005 it is working for the helpless people in the society. Its motto is to "Serve Beyond the Boundary." Club works not only within the university campus but also throughout the country. The Club in fact started working from 2003.
It is now busy with holding the 1st Inter University Essay Writing Competition" which is  a nationwide programme with participants coming from other universities as well. The final prize giving ceremony will held on June 30, at "Shawkat Osman Auditorium" in the Public Library. Members of this club are determined to serve the society with top most dedication, organizers said. n
