Robbery at Mohakhali

Armed robbers fired shot a man and looted cash and gold jewelleries from a house in Mohakhali in the capital.
Police said the incident took place in the early hours of Friday in Saat Tola Bosti .The bullet-wounded owner, Jahangir Alam Pintu, 35, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
His wife Seema Begum at the hospital told reporters that five to six robbers burst into their house around 6 in the morning and took them hostage at gunpoint. "They took away
Tk 70,000 and 5 bhori of gold jewelleries from our house."
They also shot her contractor husband in the leg, she said. DMCH Police Camp Sub-Inspector Mozammel Haque told bdnews24.com that Pintu was shot in the lower part of his right knee.
