NU students press 7-point demands
.
Campus Report :
National University Students formed a human chain on Monday in front of Chittagong Press Club to press home their seven-point demands. Their demand includes an increase in the education budget focused on improving the academic quality of 13 lakh NU students across the country.
They also demanded separate examination halls and class rooms, adequate number of teachers, examinations in due time, results within three months of the exam and free of session jam. The demands also include providing students with accommodation and ensuring 50 percent transport fare concession.
Students said classes were held only 88 days last year instead of 210 days throughout an academic year, eventually creating session jams.
