Successfully ends two daylong Bangla Wikipedia conferences 2012. First Bangla Wikipedia conference held in IUB campus (Independent University Bangladesh). This conference has started on last Friday in the IUB campus.
Chittagong City Corporation mayor M Manjur Alam inaugurated the conference. This program jointly organized by Independent University Bangladesh, BDOSN and Wikimedia Bangladesh.
Among others, Managing Director of Western Merin Shipyard Md. Sakhawat Hossain, the president of Wikimedia Bangladesh and General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network Munir Hossain and English language fellow William Ulaf spoke in the session with coordinator of Independent university Chittagong campus, Professor Dr. Nooruzzaman in the chair.
The inaugural session featured with workshop, quiz contest and open seminar.
Meanwhile, a book fair and digital photography exhibition also held on the occasion while Western Merin Services organized solo-photography exhibition of artist Dean M Shiblee.
State Minister of Science and ICT Yeafes Osman, Prof. Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal also attended the concluding ceremony of the conference and distributed prizes on yesterday evening.
